Andrew Parker, Norway

Englishman, living in Oslo, Norway. I'm a freelance photographer just beginning to find my feet in the business. This year (2009) I'm hoping to build a solid reputation for myself, and secure much more paying work. Right now I'm covering as many different types of photographic assignments as possible, to ensure I work as often as possible!

Patterns

Seems like you have a good eye for patterns. Stick to that. I would leave out the soccer image. It does not fit in your otherwise nice portfolio.

Many great images here Andrew. I agree that the football shot seems a out of place here.

Fresh Eye

Always good to see an outsiders view of a host country. And these have real promise. Lets see some more!

reflection

The way you work with reflection is great - my favourite is the one with the building - the world upside down...

FOCUS

Take yourself in hand Andrew and focus your work. If you need to pigeon hole it - that is no bad thing. A mishmash can be confusing and dilutes each image. Try do some work on themes and you will see what i am getting at. Tight presentations matter!

A nice mixture of photos! Particularly I like the photo at the top, the red garage door, and the last one in your series.

The majority of your work deals with Solitude but in a forlorn sort of way. I see this as a reflection of your feelings towards your adopted country and a good point of reference for your artistic expression to continue to grow.Keep going that route and examine it's themes.I might be totally wrong. Interesting collection.

The photo on the stairs is beautiful. It has a classic and timeless look as do many of your others, really nice work. Inspiring =)

Andrew Parker\'s gallery

It is fantastic the 'rear window' experience you offer of the café. Great photographs.
