The Wicked & The Elegant

Ao Gunji lives and works in Tokyo, Japan. He began taking photographs in 1999 and opened his own web gallery СPhoto/ismТ in the year 2000.

The work of Ao Gunji is at once recognizable among the world of nude photography. He has the unique ability to make his models look undeniably soft and elegant without relying on lighting tricks, digital effects, or make up.

He has had two solo exhibitions in Tokyo and looks forward to doing some gallery showings in the United States and Europe.
