THIRTY individual exhibitions as well as seminars and screenings present works dealing with issues such as religion, the environment, social situation, the nature and war. The Visa d’Or prize is awarded to a series with a significant contribution to photojournalism. This year it was Philip Blenkisop that has caught jurors’ eyes, with his depiction of environs and people, stricken by an earthquake, as he travelled down the Yellow River in China.

Blenkinsop, who’s been reporting on war conflicts and human rights issues from Asia since 1989, has, in the past, also received an Amnesty International's Photojournalism prize. He’s a member of Noor Images agency.
