ARAKI'S signature is using bondage in his photographs - something he’s focused on since 1979. His restrained women can be seen as a pornographic contribution but also as a new way of looking at the body which is given a new shape.

His Bokuju Kitan / Marvellous Tales of Black Ink set as selected for this show comprises of 88 gelatin silver photographs hand-finishes by calligraphy.
